The Nun with a Gun ~ Chapter 10: Bridled Anger ~

Tuco threw the reins of his horse to one of his underlings as he dismounted quickly.  The streets of the town were mostly empty and he preferred it that way.  It was easier to keep people out of the way or to trap them if needed.

“You find her?” he asked of the man who tied the reins around the post.

The man gulped loudly, “No Tuco.  We aint found her nowheres.”

Tuco grabbed him by the front of his shirt, “Nothing?  Didn’t find a damn thing?”  The ugly little brute’s feet kicked wildly as he was lifted off the ground, “You sure you were looking?”

“Yes sir, Tuco sir.”  He began to sweat profusely, “I swears we did but she aint here and no one done seen her leave.  Last we heard is she took Wallace out of Bella’s and disappeared.”  He whispered conspiratorially, “Maybe that cut madam knows a thing or two…”

Tuco dropped him.   A look of pure disgust lit up his eyes as Tuco dusted off his shoulders, “Make sure my horse is watered.”

He turned around and walked over to the Cage and his hands curled into fists.
